Introduction 2026
Your first weeks in Utrecht set the tone for everything that follows. We help you land softly, meet fellow Life Sciences students, and discover the Amino Room before lectures even start.
What it is
A relaxed introduction to your study, your city, and your people.
U.L.S.V. Amino welcomes every new bachelor and master student in Life Sciences with an introduction programme that runs alongside the official faculty welcome. You meet older students, walk through the Caroline Bleeker Building, learn where coffee actually tastes good, and get an honest look at committee life.
You can join the whole programme, drop in for a single evening, or simply visit the Amino Room when it suits you. There is no pressure, no hazing, and no obligation to drink. Just an open door, friendly faces, and a calendar that fills up quickly.

The programme
Four threads, woven through your first weeks.

What to expect
No hazing. No pressure. Just a head start.
- An English friendly programme. You do not need to speak Dutch to feel at home.
- Activities you can dip in and out of, from quiet coffee mornings to evening socials.
- Older students who actually want to answer your questions about courses and housing.
- A clear path from your first visit to becoming a member, if and when you want to.
